The banquet has always been a huge event for the county party, and many of the candidates depend on the proceeds to assist with the financial costs of their campaign. The banquet committee has been working tirelessly to put together an evening for everyone to enjoy.
The banquet committee has set a time and date for the 2016 dinner banquet. This year the dinner will be held at Wahoo’s Hilltop Country Club on Saturday October 16th at 5:30pm. The evening will begin at with a light social hour where guests will have a chance to talk with candidates, campaign officials and party members. The party will supply water and tea however the country club has a full service bar, for guests to purchase alcoholic beverages. Following the social hour a catered dinner will be served, and candidates will have a brief moment to share their campaign agenda.
The evening will also include an auction featuring David Domina as the auctioneer. Guests are asked to bring an item to donate for the auction. In past years baked goods were a popular item and guests enjoyed taking treats home. As always, the auction proceeds will be donated to this years candidates. Many of the candidates rely on this donation to assist with campaign finances.
The purpose of this event is to support candidates and do are part to assist in winning their election. Without them the issues that are important to us have no voice.
